Urban Technics was established in 2005 to serve the needs of the development community in the United States, with a focus on Mixed-Use / Traditional Neighborhood Developments and Single-Use Conventional Developments.

Urban Technics’ guiding objective is to create optimum returns for its clients by creating enhanced value developments which improve the quality of urban life.

Urban Technics’ Senior Consultant, John Chamberlain, is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Congress for the New Urbanism. Mr. Chamberlain holds an MBA from Cranfield University in the UK and graduated ‘With Distinction’ from Harvard University’s MDS Masters Program in Real Estate and Urban Development.

Mr. Chamberlain has also served as Economics and Financial Advisor to the Mississippi Renewal Forum set up by Governor Haley Barbour in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to help rebuild 11 devastated Gulf Coast cities. Prior to establishing Urban Technics, Mr. Chamberlain spent several years in senior Business Development and Product Development roles with firms in the United States and Europe.

Mr. Chamberlain has worked on a variety development projects for different clients, from a 12-unit single-family housing development, to a 400 Acre Land Development Project through to a $400MM – 1.1 MM sf Multi-Phase Mixed-Use Town Center Development.

Mixed-Use developments are more complex in nature than Single-Use developments, and Urban Technics can provide clients with a full range of consulting services appropriate to complexity of the project and which include the following:
